We were initially called out to Strathmore Foods in Forfar after a failure in the site’s malleable iron pipework, which had corroded and burst within the pumping station. Our team promptly replaced the compromised pipework with durable 316 stainless steel, ensuring a longer-lasting and more resilient solution.
A few weeks later, the existing waste water pumps failed, leading to a second call-out. We replaced the two faulty pumps with new 3-phase Xylem industrial waste water pumps, improving system efficiency and reliability.
All work was carried out in compliance with confined space safety protocols, including the use of a tripod, rescue winch, gas monitor, and top-man supervision to ensure a safe working environment.
This upgrade enhances the site’s waste water management system, providing increased durability, efficiency, and operational reliability.
